Voluntary Recall

On February 1, 2009, we announced a voluntary recall of Genisoy Organic Apple Cinnamon Soy Protein Bars because of concern that the recalled bars contain peanut products that were manufactured by Peanut Corporation of America (PCA), which is the focus of an ongoing Salmonella investigation. Genisoy took this action in response to PCA's recent expansion of its peanut products recall to include all peanut products produced in PCA's Blakely, Georgia plant since January 1, 2007.

The following Genisoy Organic Apple Cinnamon Soy Protein Bars, with "Best By" dates on each bar are subject to voluntary recall:

Genisoy Organic Soy Protein Bars - Sam's Club Variety Pack UPC Code 6-35992-17612-1

No other Genisoy products or flavors are included in this recall.

If you purchased the recalled bars, please discard them but retain the BEST BY code found on the back of the package.

For refunds, please contact us online. Please note, we're experiencing a high call and email volume, and are working to respond to all inquiries as quickly as possible.

Genisoy Organic Apple Cinnamon Soy Protein Bars are distributed and sold primarily as individual bars in grocery and specialty retail stores.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection to these Genisoy products.
