Cinnamon-Apple Oatmeal
Ingredients
1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1 ¼ cups cold water
½ cup apple juice
2 tablespoons chopped dried apples
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
Tiny pinch of salt
2 tablespoons organic flax oil
Directions
Combine all the ingredients, except the protein powder and flavoring options,
In a medium saucepan, and bring it to a boil.
Cover and reduce the heat to low.
Simmer 5 minutes, stirring once or twice.
Remove from the heat, add the protein powder.
Cover, and let sit for 2 to 5 minutes.
Stir in the sweetener and flax seed oil, if using;
Sprinkle 1 tablespoon nuts over each serving, if desired.
Flavoring Options
Sweetener of your choice
2 teaspoons organic flax oil
2 tablespoons chopped walnuts,
Almonds, or pecans, raw or lightly pan toasted
