| Welcome to the Live Better Newsletter - Aug. 2010 |
Vol. 10 No. 8 |
The year is 2010 and you would think that more of us would act as smart as we are when
it comes to our diet! We know that much of what we are putting into our bodies is bad
for us. We know that our fast food feeding frenzy is killing us. We know that the fast foods, packaged sandwiches, candy bars and goodies are filled with fats and chemicals.
We know that serious diseases are linked to what we are eating, and yet we continue
to eat it day after day after day! We know that these foods are giving us high blood
pressure, stroke, heart disease, cancer, and diabetes, and while we might think twice, we
put it into our mouths anyway.
Our diets are creating some serious health problems, some of which are leading to death.
But there is still hope, and many people here in the United States are starting to practice
what it takes to be healthy and are living proof that it can work. It is never too late to
begin living a lifestyle of health and longevity, and it’s made easier now that high-protein
soy foods are conveniently available from Genisoy.
In this month’s Newsletter we talk more about how you can live better by eating
right, and if you’re suffering from menopausal symptoms we’ve got some helpful
information on how soy can alleviate your suffering! Decide today to start eating right!

You are what you eat!
Today, the old "you are what you eat" campaign is being replaced with a much more
critical one. Books and experts are now saying that it's not so much that "you are what
you eat" as much as it is "you are being killed by what you eat!"
Let’s face it. Much of what we eat is toxic, and it's creating health problems not just
here, but abroad. More and more, research is showing us that these health problems are
being connected to what we are eating. The results of our poor diets eventually leads to a
host of problems including obesity, heart issues, high blood pressure, cancers, depression,
addictions, and a whole lot more.
Diet related diseases are a risk for every one of us. Failure to eat right can and will
weaken our immune system and cause a host of problems. Heart disease in particular
remains the number one killer in America of both men and women, and is largely brought
on by what we eat. Lifestyles that are filled with inactivity, overeating, not eating enough
fruits, vegetables, and other disease-fighting soy phytochemicals is leading us down a
grim road. But we don’t have to go there!
The primary and also simplest way to get healthy is through diet and exercise. Add to this
finding ways to reduce stress and making sure you get regular medical checkups. As part
of your diet, soy is a proven way to help maintain good health. Researchers have been
investigating the effects of soy foods and soy protein on risk factors for many types of
disease for several decades. Even the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) has concluded
that soy protein consumption included in a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol may
reduce the risk of coronary heart disease by lowering blood cholesterol levels. Soy
protein with naturally occurring isoflavones may well help prevent certain types of
cancer, osteoporosis, and alleviate menopausal symptoms.
Living a life of health is really very simple to do. Simple lifestyle changes can drastically
reduce your chances of meeting a life-threatening disease. Exercise, do what you
know is right and don’t eat what you know isn’t good for you. Stay away from the fast
foods altogether, and instead of reaching for that cupcake or candy bar, grab a piece
of fruit or delicious Genisoy protein bar!

Can Soy Alleviate Menopausal Symptoms? You Bet!
In addition to the vast array of benefits derived from the consumption of soy products,
there is a steady stream of information indicating that soy phytoestrogens have a
powerful connection with the ability to alleviate your menopausal discomforts.
The symptoms of menopause can be very miserable, and in many women the discomforts
of menopause can continue for many years. These symptoms include hot flashes,
insomnia, heavy sweating (especially at night, which further contributes to insomnia),
headaches, mood swings, nervousness, irritability, and depression. Although women can
reduce postmenopausal discomforts by taking estrogen, the vast majority choose not to
have this hormone replacement therapy.
And the testimonies of how Genisoy products work to alleviate menopausal suffering
keep rolling in! Here’s one from Joanne:
I have suffered with hormone headaches for eleven years; this past year, they came twice
a week. On your recommendation, I picked up Genisoy Natural Unflavored Protein
Powder and mixed it up with soy milk, fresh fruit, and a couple of ice cubes for my
morning smoothie. I have been (hormone) headache-free for over four weeks - a record!
As an added bonus, Genisoy Protein Powder fits perfectly with my eating habits (as a
lifetime member of Weight Watchers). There's a personal satisfaction/relief to know that I'm doing something effective and healthy to reduce the (not so) lovely side effects of
menopause! Interesting, too - I met with a Neurologist last week (as recommended by
my OB/GYN). At the end of the hour long examination, she also highly recommended
integrating soy into my daily diet. Hmmmmm....
More and more research indicates that soy can help alleviate menopausal symptoms. Get
yourself on a regular regiment of healthy Genisoy products today.
